October TBR

and I am FINALLY out of my reading slump which is honestly perfect timing because I’ve been looking forward to this TBR for so long!! I’m probably going to be a lot busier this month than in September but I’m actually going to try to make time for reading this time around so hopefully it goes well.

Since it is the month of Halloween I do have a selection of ~spooky~ and intense books that I want to get to to get into the spirit but it’s also my birthday month! I only really let myself reread my favourite books during October (because otherwise I would literally just read those over and over again) so that’s also another great addition to my TBR!!

(I know this is kind of late but I wanted to wait for my library holds to get in before I made my TBR official)

HALLOWEEN-Y BOOKS

Just a mix of more creepy thrillers and horror novels. I’m trying to find more actually scary books and my library doesn’t seem to have too many but if I find any more you can bet I’m going to be reading those too!! Also Suffer the Children is apparently all about vampire children and I am so ready for it.

FAVOURITES TO REREAD

Is this really a surprise to anyone at this point? I’m definitely starting The Secret History on my birthday because honestly what a masterpiece but I’m also planning on reading the whole All for the Game trilogy because I’ve postponed this for way too long and I miss my faves.

NETGALLEY ARCS

Heh I know The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is already out but I still haven’t read it and it’s the oldest unread book I have on NetGalley so I might as well finally get to it.

So those are all my books on my fairly ambitious(?) October TBR. I honestly have no idea how many I’m going to manage to get through but I have finished one already and am in the middle of two others so so far it’s not too bad?

Have you read any of the books I mentioned and what did you think of them? What are some nice Halloween-y reads that you have on your TBR?

Great selection of books! I really enjoyed Bird Box. Definitely some creepy vibes in it. I bought The Secret History last month, but haven’t read it yet. I have heard so many people rave about it, I should probably move it up on my tbr.
