September Book Haul

After counting how many unread books I had on my shelves (the number was over 150) I thought I would slow down with my book buying habits… However that wasn’t really the case this month. For the most part I only bought books when I said I would, so on vacation and at my university’s used book sales but it just turned out more than I expected.

So here are the 14 books I ended up with this month!! It’s a lot more historical and literary fiction than I tend to buy but since I was going to a lot of used book sales that was the best selection they had. Also for some reason I’ve been in a really big literary mood as of late(?) so I’m super excited to get to all of these.

(Half) the Books I got on Vacation

I say half because the other half are back at home so we’re just going to pretend they don’t exist since I fully don’t even remember what they were. But yes!! Lots of classics and I’m still on my Alice Munro kick.

Guess who got The Name of the Wind for $3!! I’m actually so impressed that I managed to find it for so cheap which hopefully means that I’m going to read it soon.

I’m also super happy they had well known historical fiction books like The Nightingale for really cheap except now my collection of that genre is fully growing without me ever reading any of the books because they’re all so heartbreaking and I don’t know if I’m ready to feel emotions. I also got The Stranger in French because I’ve read it many times in English so hopefully reading it in French won’t be too difficult? I just love Camus.

And those are all the books that I got this month!! As I said, there are technically like 5 more back at home so maybe my haul is closer to 20 books but these are also the ones I’m most excited for. I’m kind of upset that I didn’t bring enough fantasy books with me to university so I’ve been trying to buy some more but man, they’re so expensive and I’m crying (I can’t even justify bookoutlet at this point). Also, no new ARCs or purchased ebooks for this month.

Have you read any of these books and what did you think? Are there any I should get to sooner? And what books did you buy in September?
