Thanks so much to The Sassy Book Geek for tagging me to do this even though it’s taken me so long to finally get to it!! I love seeing people’s opinions on tropes, especially since I think I’m the kind of person that actually doesn’t usually have a problem with them. This tag was originally created by Orangutan Librarian, so definitely check both those blogs out!!
Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while!! Life has been so hectic since I was on vacation and had to move in to my residence the day I came back that I haven’t had a whole time to blog let alone complete a single book apparently?? After having read 20+ books in August I’m lowkey crying over the fact that it’s already the 10th of September and I haven’t read anything. But I’m actually in the middle of four books right now so I decided to share my thoughts on them so far!
Yikes okay I have no idea how many books I’m going to manage to get to this month. School isn’t going to be ridiculously intense just yet but I kind of very last minute decided to move out for this year again so I’m just a very stressed human trying to find an apartment.
But there are so many books that I’ve bought and taken out from the library that I am absolutely dying to get to so I decided to make a TBR anyway.
This is actually my first official monthly TBR? I’m such a mood reader that I can’t make one for myself but what I think will work for me is if I set 5 books that I want to read this month and then for the rest I can read whatever I feel like. But these 5 books will obviously be ones that I’m very excited for.
Another Sunday, another challenge!! This time around I’m in San Francisco on my last vacation before school starts up again (this makes it sound like I take a lot of vacations we just kind of took two one after the other)!!
This has steadily become one of my favourite challenges to do, I feel like it’s a good way to remember which books stick out to me the most.
This is the last month I had before school starts and thanks the gods that I managed to go out with such a bang. I’ve read a total of 21 books this month, coming to a total of 6959 pages. I’ve found some absolutely amazing books, including a series that I am now completely hooked on.
I’m only hoping that I’m going to have at least some time to read this upcoming school year because I’m fully over my slump and have planned a pretty solid TBR that I can’t let myself give up on.
This month as a whole has been… okay for me. I spent essentially the whole month highkey stressed about life so I just spent a lot of time reading to calm myself down. I’m excited for school to start though, that’s literally the only time I actually have purpose.
Brace yourself for a very long list of books!!
Twin sisters Jack and Jill were seventeen when they found their way home and were packed off to Eleanor West’s Home for Wayward Children.
This is the story of what happened first…
Jacqueline was her mother’s perfect daughter—polite and quiet, always dressed as a princess. If her mother was sometimes a little strict, it’s because crafting the perfect daughter takes discipline. Jillian was her father’s perfect daughter—adventurous, thrill-seeking, and a bit of a tom-boy. He really would have preferred a son, but you work with what you’ve got.
They were five when they learned that grown-ups can’t be trusted.
They were twelve when they walked down the impossible staircase and discovered that the pretense of love can never be enough to prepare you a life filled with magic in a land filled with mad scientists and death and choices.

It’s Sunday which means another round of the ABC book challenge!! I’m actually currently on vacation in New York, and kind of maybe didn’t schedule anything for the time but that’s okay, I still think I have some time to catch up on the reviews that I’m super behind on.
